Australia Practice Group

The Tergar Australia Practice Group Practice Group offers a range of practice and study opportunities both online and in person. We warmly welcome members from all areas of Australia and beyond.

Joy of Living Group
Under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, the Tergar Meditation Community in Australia explores the Joy of Living practices designed to calm the mind, open the heart, and awaken wisdom. We meet weekly online over Zoom and occasionally in-person. We invite you to join us and explore current details about our group at www.tergar.org.au.

The Joy of Living program is meditation training that is open to people of all religious and cultural backgrounds. Learn more about Joy of Living Workshops and Retreats.

Nectar of the Path Group Practice
This practice, written by Mingyur Rinpoche in 2010 while on retreat at St. John’s in Minnesota, covers many of the core elements of Buddhist teachings, with chants, aspirations, and meditation practice. This is open to everyone. At the same time, please note that this is a “Buddhist” practice: it is based on the fundamental Buddhist concepts of refuge, bodhicitta, and relationship to the teacher. More information on the practice can be found here: learning.tergar.org/2016/04/23/nectar-of-the-path/

Small Groups
Tergar Australia also has regular small group meetings for Nature of Mind practitioners and Vajrayana Online programs, including the yearly transmissions, as well as weekly open meditation sessions.
